Good News Bad News

Its been a mixed bag over the past couple of days.  So will do two posts as each bit of news deserves their own post.

First of all, there was the news yesterday, like a bolt out of the blue, that Scrapbook Essentials is closing.  I felt really shocked as it has been my “home” for the past year - almost to the day as well.  I can understand Megs reasons and if you are reading this Meg, want to wish you and your family all the best.

I joined SE after being a lurker for a long time and it has been a year of firsts for me in doing so.  I have met many wonderful friends online and IRL, and just love chatting to these people and seeing what they are up to both in their ordinary lives and scrappywise.  Also had the pleasure of meeting Meg when she came to CHCH. I have entered competitions and challenges - something that initially took a lot of courage to put my work up there with everyone else.  Now it has become second nature although there are some layouts that you will never see - you know, we all do the odd one that just doesn’t cut it, so to speak! LOL.  Another first was starting a blog - such inspiration from all you other bloggers - that I had to give it a go.

So for SE to close is going to leave a big hole for me as I’m sure it is for a lot of people who check in daily to see what is going on.  SE is responsible for me being a bit more proactive in my scrapping and given me confidence in what I am doing and I will miss it.

To Meg - for all the beautiful products I have received, the RAK’s and the forum with its challenges, laughs and friendships made - I thank you.  To Aaron and kids - I’m sure that you will just love all the extra time that will come with this decision.  Family first for everyone.
